Anamour is a multi-talented
horse whose breeding embodies leading Hanoverian bloodlines.
He was selected for New Zealand for his superior movement
and outstanding disposition.
Anamour's dressage score
at the eleven-month performance testing at Adelheidsdorf,
Germany, rated fifth of the forty stallions selected for
licensing.
The Hanoverian stallion Anamour
arrived in New Zealand from Germany in 1995 as a three-year-old
colt; his first crop of foals was born in the spring of
1997. He has been successfully bred to many New Zealand
thoroughbred mares and to our existing Hanoverian mares.
His progeny have proved his excellent breeding and are
excelling in top competition.
According to Herr Manfred Lopp, Head Saddlemaster at the
stallion performance centre at
Adelheidsdorf for over thirty years; "a typical Anamour
is dark in colour and good in type. All Anamours
are good trotters, they are elegant with good necks and
correct bone on the legs. Their movement shows good freedom
out of the shoulder and good action of the legs. They are
generally uphill going, so that they can become really good
riding horses."
